Training Course Topic: Asbestos Safety
Training Course Description: Overview of essential knowledge about asbestos, its health
risks, and safe practices to prevent exposure in the workplace. It aims to raise awareness
among employees who may encounter asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) during their
work. The training covers identification, potential exposure routes, regulations, and
control measures to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and
to protect worker health.
Course Objective: For participants to understand what asbestos is and recognize where it
may be found, identify the health risks associated with asbestos exposure, understand the
legal requirements and safety regulations related to asbestos management, recognize the
importance of avoiding disturbance of asbestos-containing materials, follow safe work
practices and reporting procedures if asbestos is suspected or discovered.
Target Audience: employees who may work near or around asbestos-containing
materials, supervisors and managers responsible for workplace safety, contractors,
engineers, and inspectors who may enter buildings or areas containing asbestos, any
worker who needs general awareness of asbestos hazards.
